Sometimes it's hard to make relevant capitalization according to the text's style. Anyway, one can use title case generator in order to check for mistakes. It's very convenient as you can use use anytime, only internet connection is needed. Moreover you can check for plagiarism. Also, since you are asking for other writers to share what works for them, I will tell you what I do, to help with the editing. If writing from start to finish isn't working for you, then try something different. My goal is to write by chapter. (I start with a very thorough outline) Then, at the end of each chapter, I re-read it twice, making any needed corrections. Then...I print it out, because that is the best way for me to edit. I read it again, making corrections. Then, I move on. This not only makes editing later on easier, but it also slows me down and makes me think more about the story and where it's headed. It has helped me a great deal with my more complex stories. During my corporate and consulting work, I persisted in stopping people who used buzzwords, protesting that I didn't understand their meaning, and forcing them to express themselves in plain English before allowing them to proceed. It ceased to surprise me that they were often unable to articulate a coherent thought, at which point another needless meeting was ended. Some would protest that buzzwords are useful shorthand; the problem is that they don't mean the same thing to everyone. Allowing them to slip by is dangerous.Charles Doughertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16888669370784744314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23776112.post-3698915929501116732015-03-23T11:48:37.252-05:002015-03-23T11:48:37.252-05:00My boss of years ago would also say "I'll...My boss of years ago would also say "I'll take that under advisement." and I'd happily go about my work thinking the boss would be mulling it about. I started to use the term at home with my four sons. Finally, one day, my son awoke me from my Pollyanna dream. I replied with the standard "I'll take that under advisement." and he replied, in front of his siblings, "That's a no. We ain't getting it." Talk about lightning from the skies! I realized my boss had been telling me no in the most polite way possible. At the next meeting when he said that little blurb, I replied, "Well, since he doesn't want to move in that direction, what other alternatives do you see as viable." He never took another opportunity under advisement - he said no and started a new phrase: "Let's table that for the next meeting." which meant deep-six it and nobody mention it at the next meeting. It is all about reading between the lines.Author Bob Nailorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09307736243397066884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23776112.post-67794061702014254522015-03-21T11:55:59.350-05:002015-03-21T11:55:59.350-05:00Thought provoking, challenging post. Then we discuss what they have been told, what I have taught them, what the Bible says about it and (hopefully) give them enough freedom to make their own decisions. I am not opposed to sex being taught in school as this is the only way most kids learn about it (besides actually doing it). To me, the subject of sex is no different than any other information they learn. You can't believe everything you hear or read, even if it's on the internet ;) and this subject matter is no different.Nichole Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16647468681326378753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23776112.post-64893930371496395762015-03-17T18:29:55.963-05:002015-03-17T18:29:55.963-05:00I totally agree with you Scott. Or that they can patrol everything they see, maybe... but this is ridiculous. Their children would grow up to be as ignorant, frightened, and biased as they are, otherwise. These people can't articulate well-balanced views on sex or anything else. They have a right to express their views, but I don't think they have a right to impose them on the rest of the world. Let them be heard and judged on the merits of their arguments. I don't think anyone feels that's appropriate. But what most ultra and moderate conservative family think is the right time is entirely too late to help children be prepared for what they will see and hear at schools. Children are sexually curious...that is human nature. To think that keeping the information out of the hands of an adult (qualified) teacher's hands will keep kids from being "taught" sex-ed is crazy. Kid will learn about sex and the schoolroom is a much better place to learn than the schoolyard.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23776112.post-58225083503493784342015-03-11T13:26:51.085-05:002015-03-11T13:26:51.085-05:00When I first wrote my book THE HUNT FOR XANADU - i...When I first wrote my book THE HUNT FOR XANADU - initially the entire prologue was on the Story of Siddharta - I did a cute take on it, but I felt the readers needed to understand "the who and what" of what he was before journeying into the story.
